Dr. Michael Crabtree has been a licensed psychologist for over 40 years. He is an Emeritus Professor of Psychology at Washington Jefferson College. His specialty is conducting forensic evaluations, specifically child custody, personal injury, civil and criminal competency, disability, risk assessment, parent capacity, and mitigation evaluations.​

He is a fellow of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association and a winner of its Pennsylvania Public Service Award. He has been recognize by his alma mater, Hiram College, with the lifetime achievement award and been inducted into the Garfield Society. He also has been recognized Mental Health Professional of the year in Washington County.​

He is active in a number of community organizations including the Washington City Mission, and SPHS The CARE Center.

He earned his doctoral degree at Carnegie Mellon University .
